Left "Free Buffet" this
was in the first hour before the food bowls got dumped.
Right "Patches Diner" and before Patches chased
the little boys around for a bit. Then Patches' Daddy and
Mommy spent some time being shown things around the place,
one always staying with the gerbils, and the 3-5 hour grief
time was waited for... they may get along until then then
whammo. |

'Podnuh, that Food Bowl's MINE' This was before
the chasing started. After a few hours of letting them sniff
around, I returned to floor to watch and take some more
pictures. Reports were that other than that first bit of
chasing that looked bad but stopped fast, they had wandered
the various sides of the tank and the food bowls had been
dug in and spread by apparently the agouti brothers. It
was hoped that by waiting a while before stuffing them in
the car that would prevent fights. The tank had just been
changed, and old bedding saved and rubbed all over the agoutis
before they were put in the tank. Amongst other things,
Patches Daddy carried off 2 1/2 garbage bags of crockette
dishes, 10oz lixit waterbottles and all the Sam's, Play
City, Cozy Critter, and related gunk I could find and wasn't
going to use again. Their hamsters and jirds ought to love
it. |

Left "Patches Cristmas Present 'Under'
the Tree" and right "Patches and his loving Daddy"
just as Patches and his new buddies were leaving our house
to go home. That expression is priceless. |
