Stuff for 10 day treatment: 1/4c (60ml/2oz),
bird ornacycline, waterbottle (black out), chewguard; mortar
and pestle, pill splitter, old sock, glove, glass eyedroppers.
[other blue thing is camera stand] Not pictured, medium kritter

and who didn't yet. |

| Mardel Labs, who often make fish stuff, make
ornacycline [tetracycline] for birds. Go look in the bird
section at the pet store. They come in 8 and 24 tablet sizes.
The box is about the size of my hand. The tablets are foilpacked
and will keep. On the back, it gives how to mix. I will be
giving instructions on how to mix for one tank/bottle at a
time...if you have more than one tank or cage being treated
at once, mix one batch per waterbottle. |

See? They will keep. |

Ok, a whole pill, and after being run through
the pillsplitter. The tablet on the left will do a full 8
ounces (1 cup or 240ml) and the quarter will do 2 oz (1/4
cup or 60ml). If you do one tank or cage, do 1/4 pill to 1/4
cup water a day. |

| You MUST rinse the bottle, wipe out the yellow sludge, and refill
with freshly made up medication every day for the ten days. Do not
let the bottle hang, or add new medicine to old. It ages quickly
and becomes ineffective fast, that is why you MUST do fresh solution
every day and feed a drop or two to every gerbil by hand every day.
Pups will get some from their mother's milk, but they also MUST
get that drop fed to them. |
