Tater at 21 days with second litter, first litter
just starting to wean. This shows the line at her eyes where
the ticking stops. It's also when I started the litter on
ornacycline. You will see that the delay in gestation will
really show, as the second litter took 40 days. I expected
35-38 and was getting quite worried. She is carrying six here. |

Tater at 26 to 27 days along. Compare with last
page... there is the slightest bulge right above paw, center
bottom. |

31 days left, 32 days right. Notice sort of
greasy fur in last four pictures? This means that between
the lactating and the gestation, SHE really needs her kitten
chow suppliments (and NOT her gerbil hubby) to keep up with
the demands on her body. On the left, you can see her little
talons. She was using them fluently to tell her mate to go
take a hike so I didn't trim them until later. He was a real
pain with the girl pups between their 21-28 days old, then
they had enough talons to send him away too. |

[L]about 34 days. I stopped handling
her thinking she was due. [R] being silly with the 5 day old
pups under her. |

Tater looked about day 26 at day 36, day 27 at days 37
& 38, and day 28 for her last two days. She delivered
6 the 2nd litter, and was almost as large, day 40. She is
carrying again, but Spud is going to the vet to be neutered!
when 2nd litter makes about 14 days old. Right, Stripe at
39 days, with her daughter of that age, Blaise, sleeping
on her stomach. Notice the nipple above the upper rear paw
in the center of that white patch. She is truely that wide....Larry
her sapphire mate is living as a batchelor with a black
pied son. She is any time, I've seen her sides moving. [delivered
at day 40 before noon and Blaise died a few hours later
from a seizure from unknown causes] *I hope this montage
of photos has helped to show what pregnancy may look like.
The big thing is getting her to stretch and noticing central
bulging between front and rear legs along the ribs.*
