Adopt a Gerbil NO Longer Needed But some cute pics. Updated 15 May 2003

This is Larry, R, sapphire born about 1-15 April 2002. Fathered two litters. Left, Buddy, black pied male son, born 11-18-02 from Larry and Stripe, a pied/spotted black. Larry's pups all have nice full tufts. (the thing in the background is a jewelry display support, it's not in their jumbo kritter keeper) Larry's a lousy nestmaker but a great pupsitter. He can sleep through all sorts of havoc too. He samples and digs in hands but is pretty gentle. Adopted and lives in Denver!

Girl #1, Larry and Stripe's first litter, born 11-18-02. The area dead center of the gerbil just above my thumb is about the true color of the little girl. Her adoptive parents backed out. She's living with her two sisters. She has a very light pied arrowhead point on top of her head. Adopted and living in Denver. All 11-18-02 pups are about 2 months old exactly in these pictures, done about 01-15-03.

Girl #2. Born 11-18-02. She is about the grey above the dark line to the left center of her body (shadow line). She also has a barely visible arrowhead white mark on top of her head. Adopted and living in Denver.
Girl #3. Born 11-18-02. She is the darkest, just slightly darker than #2. About the center stripe of the body to the left of the bright stuff. You can see her arrowhead marking on top of her head. Adopted and living in Denver.

The black spotted boy and all the girls are full littermates, and Larry the sapphire is their father. I decided to leave these pictures and pages up for reference purposes. All these pictures were done about 01-15-03, so you can figure the ages.

Stripe savaged her litter, four of six survived, and are in this gallery now. Tater did foster mother and her older litter (9 days difference) showed eyes open early and weaned early, and were put with Spud on other side of divider. Littler ones got in there and fed well once the older litter left. Cheers for super foster mom Tater, aka 'fur lined snack bar' (the picture of an older pup finding no room at the inn and crawling on TOP of her to look for a spigot OF course I didn't have the camera). It did make a difference, Tater's last litter was only 3 plus a stillborn, and one of the 3 died of congestive heart failure at 28 days, the litter she carried through this fostering.

Next page, litter born 19 Dec, taking reservations now
